The young man behind the web site OneBillionStories.com was at the 2012 March for Life. He created several videos from his trip, and I selected these as my two favorites. The first one highlights the testimony of a woman who regrets her abortion. The second one is a short interview with Bobby Schindler, the brother of Terry Schiavo.

Babies Go to Congress
Heartbeat International is a network of pro-life crisis pregnancy centers and maternity homes, which work to support mothers and babies both before and after pregnancy and birth. In conjunction with this year's March for Life in Washington, D.C., Heartbeat International conducted a "Babies Go to Congress" campaign. They brought some of the many women that they have helped, and their children, to Washington to talk to members of Congress about the good that is being done across the country by pro-life crisis pregnancy centers and maternity homes. Here are the testimonies of three of these women:
Too many March for Life videos?
Dear readers (viewers?), I apologize if you are getting tired of March for Life videos at this point. I know I have posted quite a few of them over the past few days.
I think that the annual March for Life is a very important event that doesn't get nearly enough coverage in the media, and I have been finding many worthwhile videos from the march. Therefore I have let the March for Life (and the Walk for Life West Coast) take over my blog for the past few days, and I still plan to post a few more videos today and tomorrow. But in case you are getting tired of the March for Life videos, please check back on Wednesday, when I plan to return to regularly scheduled programming, so to speak.

Students from Thomas Aquinas College at the 2012 Walk for Life West Coast
From the YouTube video description:
More than 200 Thomas Aquinas College students helped lead the way through the streets of San Francisco on January 21, 2012 — in remembrance of the 39th anniversary of Roe v. Wade — for the eighth annual Walk for Life West Coast. The students prayed, sang, and peacefully bore witness to the Culture of Life with some 50,000 walkers.
Roughly two-thirds of Thomas Aquinas students have attended the Walk every year since its founding in 2005, and over the years they have increasingly taken on leadership roles within the event.
By the way, these students are from Thomas Aquinas College in Santa Paula, California, not Aquinas College in Nashville, Tennessee. Both are very good Catholic colleges though, from everything I have heard.

2011 March for Life in 50 Seconds
Here is a time-lapse video showing the entire 2011 March for Life compressed into about 50 seconds. It is from last year's march, but it is a great video for demonstrating the sheer size of the crowd at the march each year:
Here are some details on the video, from the description on YouTube:
You may also want to check out a similar time lapse video, also from last year's march. I will watch for a time lapse video of this year's March for Life, and I will post it here if I find a good one.
(Thanks to Steven Greydanus for the link to this video, which he provided in one of the comments on his March for Life Live-Blogging post at the National Catholic Register.)
Here are some details on the video, from the description on YouTube:
This is a timelapse of the 2011 "March for Life" in Washington D.C. This video is 599 still images taken every ten seconds for a total duration of 99 minutes. The official start of the march is designated by the banner you see at about 13 seconds in. Everyone in front of that banner jumped the gun. That is why there is a sizable gap just before that banner.

In this video, CampusReform.org interviews some of the many college students who attended the 2012 March for Life in Washington, D.C.

Here is a nice photo montage of the March for Life and related events, from the Diocese of Charlotte and the Diocese of Raleigh:

March for Life 2012: The Rebellion
Here is a video about this year's March for Life, created by Marc Barnes of the Bad Catholic blog:
The video features scenes from the march, and short interviews with many of the young people there. I was a bit confused about one young lady's comment about the "right to die." I really don't think that she meant it as a pro-euthanasia comment, but it kind of came across that way. But overall, this is a great video that gives a real "man on the street" view of the March for Life.
Also, please take the time to watch Marc's excellent video from last year's March for Life.
UPDATE: Please check back for more March for Life videos that I plan to post over the next few days.

Why I Love Religion, and Love Jesus: Response to a Viral Video
Since I don't have a Facebook account, I am somewhat out of the loop when it comes to viral videos. But I understand from reading various Catholic blogs that many people have seen a recent viral video called "Why I Hate Religion, But Love Jesus." The message of the video has some good points that Catholics can agree with, but it also has some points on which most Catholics would strongly disagree (as is pretty obvious from the video's title).
This viral video has led to a wide variety of response videos, as well as some very thorough Catholic blog posts critiquing the message of the original video. Here is what may be the best response video, from a Catholic priest:
I'm not a fan of the style of this video, but he is trying to imitate the style of the original video.
Here are some links to written replies and more video replies to the "Why I Hate Religion..." viral video:
Aggie Catholics round-up post
Jimmy Akin's response
Bad Catholic Blog's response
Finally, the Aggie Catholic blog reports that the creator of the original video apparently has had some second thoughts, and says that he would say things a bit differently if he could do the video over again.

Mary Eberstadt on "The Loser Letters"
In this episode of EWTN Bookmark, Doug Keck interviews Mary Eberstadt about her book The Loser Letters. I heard many good things about this book when it was released a year or two ago, and I enjoyed the sample chapter that I read, but I have not read the entire book.

Coming Home Network "Deep in History" Conference: Sola Scriptura Discussion
This video is an episode of The Journey Home on EWTN, but it is not a standard episode in which a Catholic convert tells his or her story in a one-on-one conversation with Marcus Grodi. Instead, this episode shows a panel discussion on the Protestant doctrine of Sola Scriptura, featuring five Catholic converts.
Here is the description of the video from EWTN's YouTube channel (edited for punctuation, spelling, and capitalization):
Marcus Grodi hosts this special session during the CHN Conference as the panel guests discuss their journeys in relation to Sola Scriptura. The five panel guests are Dr. Kenneth Howell, former Presbyterian minister; Bruce Sullivan, former Church of Christ minister; Dr. Paul Thigpen, former Evangelical minister; Richard Lane, former Lutheran; and Dr. Scott Hahn, former Presbyterian minister.

David Blankenhorn on Marriage
In the following series of videos, David Blankenhorn delves deeply into the topic of marriage, and specifically why we should not re-define marriage as a gender-neutral institution (i.e., why we should not implement so-called same-sex "marriage").
These videos are not really Catholic videos, since Mr. Blankenhorn analyzes this issue from a decidedly secular perspective. However, most of his conclusions seem to be aligned reasonably well with Catholic teaching on this issue (though he does deviate from Catholic teaching on a few points), and he makes a powerful argument. Therefore, I thought that the videos were worth presenting on this blog.
I was not able to find embeddable versions of these videos, so please click on each link below to launch the corresponding video in a separate window or tab:

Fr. Barron: What faith is, and what faith isn't
The subject of this video is important in today's culture, since there seems to be such a widespread misunderstanding of the Christian concept of faith:
This is the first of several Fr. Barron videos that I have been meaning to post for quite a while, but that I have held back because I haven't wanted this blog to become all Fr. Barron, all the time (not that that would be a bad thing!). So now that I am finished posting clips from Fr. Barron's Catholicism series, I will try to post some of these other Fr. Barron videos over the next few weeks.
