Here is a nice lighthearted video highlighting Pope Benedict's travels:
I found this video at the end of an interesting blog post by Monsignor Charles Pope, regarding Catholics and the new media.

Dawn Eden: The Thrill of the Chaste
Here is another video from the Veritas Forum. Here is their description of the video:
Sex can bring pleasure -- but does it bring joy? Why would a 31-year old unmarried rock journalist in New York City embrace chastity? Dawn was a columnist for Salon, Billboard, and Mojo, and she is now the deputy news editor at the New York Daily News. After a dramatic conversion to Christian faith in 1999, Dawn traded the incessant pursuit of gratification for the thrill of chastity. For Dawn, chastity is not simply a "no" to sex, but a "yes" to living out all the graces one has been given by God as a human being made in God's image. Dawn is the author of The Thrill of the Chaste: Finding Fulfillment While Keeping Your Clothes On (2007). She will speak, followed by a question and answer period.

Dr. Jennifer Roback Morse on the attempt to redefine marriage
Dr. Jennifer Roback Morse is a great advocate for marriage, who has written on many of the problems facing marriage today. In this talk at the Franciscan University of Steubenville, Dr. Morse discusses the attempt to redefine marriage as a gender-neutral institution (i.e., the attempt to institute so-called "same-sex marriage").

Russia's Shrinking Population
This is a very well-made video from the Population Research Institute, detailing the problem of Russia's declining population. Many countries may face a similar problem in the near future, but it seems to be especially bad in Russia, due to a high abortion rate, a low birth rate, and a relatively short life expectancy.

Youcat book trailer
Here is a short video promoting Youcat, the church's new youth catechism. I am planning to use this catechism in my parish's Confirmation preparation class starting this fall. I haven't had a chance to read much of it yet, but so far it looks good.

Jennifer Fulwiler talks about her conversion from atheism
I had this post scheduled for next week. But then late yesterday I discovered that Jennifer Fulwiler had mentioned my blog on her well-written and popular Conversion Diary blog. I certainly didn't expect that! Jennifer, if you are reading here, thanks for your recognition of my blog, and congratulations on winning several categories in the Catholic New Media Awards. I wish I had remembered to vote for those awards, but it looks like you did OK anyway. :-)
In light of Jennifer mentioning my blog, I thought it would be appropriate to move this post up to today. Here is the post as I had already composed it:
A few weeks ago, I posted a video of Jennifer Fulwiler (of the excellent Conversion Diary blog) on EWTN, discussing her conversion from atheism to the Catholic Church. Here is another video in which Mrs. Fulwiler presents a talk on this same topic. The first half of the video is her talk, followed by a question and answer session in the second half of the video.
